Our smart winter tyres are the perfect choice for when the temperature drops below 7°c, typically between October and March. Winter tyres boast a 10% shorter braking distance when compared to summer tyres. Featuring a special tread, winter tyres are designed to ensure a strong grip on both snow and ice.

Manufactured using a softer rubber to maximise grip, our smart summer tyres will ensure you get the best possible driving experience. Summer tyres are designed with a water-dispersing treat to prevent hydroplaning and to provide excellent grip in both wet and dry conditions. We recommend using summer tyres between March and October when the temperature rises above 7°c.
How often should you replace your smart tyres?

At Group 1 smart, we recommend that you replace your tyres once the tread depth falls below 3mm. The minimum legal requirement is 1.6mm; however, testing shows that braking distance is 35% greater once this level of wear is achieved. New tyres will improve grip on the road, ensuring an efficient transfer of power from the engine to the road. This promotes a better fuel economy and will save you money in the long-run.
