Jason Bolwell was a very friendly and professional sales executive. He offered to wear a mask, as he saw we were wearing masks which we appreciated and offered beverages - he kept his distance for COVID-19 measures. We had a pleasant experience on the whole and felt that he was not too pushy of a sales executive during the test drive and allowed us to take our time asking questions about the i3 and electric vehicles in general. He was patient and facilitated a fast turnover of the car from when we viewed it on Sunday, ensuring a handover on Monday the next day. Receptionists who greeted us on both Sunday and Monday were welcoming and polite as well which is always a bonus. Areas for improvement: - Firstly, although we did not experience much pushiness overall, some insistence came through when it came to discussing financing options and additional extras such as gap insurance. We understand that extra commission is made through these services but felt the insistence was unnecessary. - Secondly, upon purchasing the car, returning home and additional self-learning through research and reading, there is a lot more information that we missed and would have appreciated if we were provided more education towards EVs, such as BMW Charge card, needing a Type 2 cable at public charging locations, as many are untethered; explaining home charging, knowledge on the EV charging networks (such as recommendations). I would recommend that he build up his knowledge of EVs, coming from a renewable technology sector, I truly believe that sales executives need to understand that there is an education behind the transition between technologies. Being a sales professional, we would have expected Jason to have briefed us a bit more on these logistical EV facts, gauging our knowledge by the basic questions we were asking. - Lastly, we were happy to leave 10/10 feedback and had intended to on the day of collecting the car, however, were put off doing this at the end of the handover when Jason requested that we score him 10/10 and that "anything less than a 10 would be deemed unacceptable by BMW." We felt that this had put us in a difficult position and perhaps it wasn't the intended purpose but it did lower the tone following a really pleasant experience overall.
