How Audi Motability works
Helping millions of people stay on the road since 1978, the Motability Scheme gives you the option to exchange your mobility benefits for a brand-new Audi car on a three-year lease. The scheme is so simple, and it gives you the ability to keep your freedom by staying mobile.
Simply choose the brand-new Audi you would like from a selection of models that are all affordably priced and visit your local Audi dealership for a test drive. Once you're happy with the vehicle, we'll complete your order for you. Worry-free motoring is as easy as that!
Our expertly trained staff are here to help you find the car that is right for you. We will guide you through the whole process, so you can get back to enjoying motoring again.
Who is eligible for Audi Motability?
You can utilise any of the following government funded mobility allowances towards a brand-new Audi under the Motability Scheme:
- Higher Rate Mobility Component (HRMC)
- Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
- Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP)
- War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement (WPMS)
- Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment (ERMC of PIP)
The scheme is not exclusive to the driver. Claimants under the age of 16 can have their parent, guardian or carer qualify on their behalf. If you would like more details or eligibility, please visit the Motability Scheme website.
Audi Motability adaptations
Hundreds of adaptations are available on the Motability Scheme, ranging from simple driving controls to person hoists that lift wheelchair users into a standard car. Designed to make your motoring experience as enjoyable and stress-free as possible, the adaptations available can help you drive, get in or out of the car, or stow your wheelchair or scooter.
The most cost-effective way to arrange for adaptations to be made to your vehicle is when you order it. So, when your Audi is delivered it will have the adaptations already fitted. Some adaptations even come at no extra cost.
Our specially trained Motability team can help you establish what you find difficult with your current vehicle. Some issues can be solved by simply choosing the right model, such as an automatic gearbox and a flat-entry boot. Our friendly staff can work with you to find a vehicle that suits your individual needs.
All adaptations are designed to make travelling easier and more comfortable. However, not all adaptations are suitable for every type of vehicle due to the compatibility of the car and the adaptation. It is important to consider what adaptations you need before you choose your Audi.
Here are some adaptations that you could consider, which may suit your individual needs:
Adaptations to consider
Limited mobility or control in your legs Mechanical hand controls, electronic accelerators, steering aids and pedal guards Limited mobility in your right hand Mechanical hand controls or left foot accelerators Limited strength in you upper body Steering aids, remote control devices, easy release handbrakes and electronic accelerators Wheelchair or scooter is too heavy to lift or stow Car boot or rooftop hoists Difficulty transferring from wheelchair to the car Swivel seats, person hoists or tip-up plates
