Fuelled by ambition, Reubin continues to grow at Group 1.

Reubin is a key part of the SEAT/CUPRA Ipswich team, bringing energy and focus to every working day. His role is a mix of customer-facing opportunities, working closely with his colleagues, plenty of number crunching and the occasionally featuring in a social media video or two! From helping the team close deals to building strong relationships with customers, Reubin thrives on variety and collaboration. 

Reubin’s journey in automotive started at Mercedes as a Handover Specialist, outside of Group 1. After six months, he began looking for that next step, and joined Group 1 at SEAT/CUPRA Ipswich as a Sales Executive - a role he enjoyed for two years before earning a well-deserved promotion to Business Manager. 

He enjoys problem-solving and putting deals together, and prides himself on being approachable for any questions or queries from his colleagues, work-related or not. 



Why Group 1?

“I love the working environment here and the team we have at SEAT/CUPRA Ipswich. We have a laugh, work hard, and genuinely enjoy being here every day.

The opportunity to grow and develop skills is fantastic. I came into Group 1 with no car sales experience, and the training I received helped me succeed as a Sales Executive and learn how to handle different situations. In my new role, I hope to continue that growth.” 

Since starting in automotive, Reubin biggest achievement so far is… 

“Achieving the role I’m currently in after just two years in sales. I’ve only been in the new role for three weeks, but it’s a big milestone.  

Being given the opportunity to move from sales into management was a huge step for me - especially at 21. The support from my Sales Manager and Head of Business has been incredible, and the brand staff from VWFS and CUPRA have offered additional guidance to help me learn and progress.”

Outside of work

Reubin is a keen rugby player (his dream job when he was younger), and also enjoys staying fit at the gym.  

I am close with my parents, who both run their own businesses – I can definitely say their success has sparked my ambition and drive in life.   

One piece of advice Reubin would give someone looking to join automotive or sales is to take every opportunity available, as you never know where it can take you.
