Really limited updates. Sometimes my messages or emails would be ignored, no responses until the next day after frequent chasing. Was told one afternoon my car MAY need to stay in overnight if the software update takes that long. Was given no update at EOD of where it was at. Had to contact again the next morning to understand the status. No one answered the phone at VW. I had to wait for people to email me back or text me.

- Pre-check in - Very Poor.
Message and link received for online check-in to save time on the day. Tried this but found was just a load of sales and marketing exercise, do I need service plan, would I like to buy another car etc. Made me feel very annoyed having to wade through numerous irrelevant questions for my visit and gave up in the end.

Car was in for safety re-call work and advised needed to stay overnight to allow software update. No problem, however, on second day no communication received for update/collection so I called service dept 1630ish who advised someone would call me back, they didn't, so called again 1730ish and was told additional work had been agreed with lease company and would be ready next day, someone would call to advise. Again no call/update from VW next day, so called 1200hrs and was told work now complete and car ready for collection. A simple call or text to communicate and update status is surely not that difficult in this day and age, especially if there is additional work and need to keep for extra day.

Work completed OK, however, asked by VW service at booking stage and check-in was there any other work/defects required. I advised there was SOS call warning light. This was not addressed and no feedback/comment as to why, so is still a fault.

Visited for service and experience was as always excellent, Greeted by receptionist ( who was excellent )who showed me to waiting areas and passed on all information.

From the moment i arrived Daniel was there sorting everything out to enable me to be on my way asap.
I took the car for a test drive and when i returned he was waiting to do all the paperwork.He then explained everything about the car he even paired my phone into the car. I can't thank him enough for everything he done.

Appointments were readily available. Staff were helpful and informative. I was given regular updates about the progress of my vehicle and my car was given a complimentary wash. I do not like having to phone the call centre, I'd prefer to speak to someone in Chester.

Thank you for a good service and welcome car wash. I find that you always try to offer additional items which are not required. This time it was the rear wiper. This has been replaced within the last three months, using VW parts. On inspection after collection, the blade was in good condition and ensuring that I used the water spray beforehand, it was an exceptionally hot day, the wiper worked perfectly. At the last service I was advised to change my tyres. They were perfect legal. I find this pressure unacceptable

The service was great, would be 5 star but for having no call back to say my car was ready to pick up, I tried to phone but couldn't get through to anyone. But all good in the end.
