Dropped my car off at 08:30 for an MOT and brake fluid change on 3rd March. I tried phoning in the evening for an update as I had not been contacted but it kept ringing with no answer, this left me with no car for work the following day. I phoned at 13:30 on the 4th and was told the person dealing with my car was busy and could they phone me back which they did not do, so I phoned at 17:00 and was told it would be ready at 17:30. On arriving I was told the bill was £40 and handed the MOT, key and asked if I had paid the invoice. I informed them my car was a lease and there was no money owing. The person then went to see the service manager as I had asked why my car was not ready the day before and they could not tell me why . On checking the invoice I had been given, it was not my name and address on it or my vehicle. I explained this to the service manager who took the key, MOT and invoice from me and returned with my key and MOT. On asking why my car had been kept over night and my call not replied, I was told they did not know and no explanation was forth coming.

Absolutely appalling treatment. I was specifically asked by the dealer to attend in person to help fault-find an ongoing issue with my vehicle. After finally being well enough to attend, I made the trip as requested only to be left sitting and waiting with no communication or basic courtesy. Instead of a conversation about the fault or any meaningful update, my car was simply brought around and I was told to leave. No explanation. No reassurance about safety. Nothing. To make matters worse, the way I was treated felt deeply uncomfortable and dismissive on a personal level. As someone with visible facial scarring from my illness that I cannot help, the cold and avoidant manner in which I was handled came across as discriminatory and dehumanising. I was treated like a problem to be moved on rather than a customer with a legitimate safety concern. When a customer attends at your request the bare minimum should be professionalism, transparency, and respect. I received none of those. I will be taking this further and strongly advise others to consider how they might be treated here if something goes wrong. Additionally the promise of a resolution within 7 days was missed.

I purchased a Jaguar from Group 1 VW Chester and there have been some issues with the reversing camera and a critical oil level warning, My car was booked into the service centre for investigation and i was informed that they couldn't replicate any faults and as they are a VW garage they couldn't use diagnostics after i collected the car I had instantly reversing camera fault as when the boot is opened and closed the error appears, the service desk lady was informed of this. I have had the error 4 times since and also the oil level low critical alarm three times. I was informed to take the car to Jaguar.

The onus was always on me to be updated on progress and it was difficult to get hold of someone to speak to at times. I was also frustrated by the length of time it took to receive a response from Volkswagen and the fact that there didn't appear to be any thought given to escalating the issue or seeking an alternative approach. However, that said, when I did manage to speak to someone, they were helpful and thankfully, all my issues had been resolved when I collected the vehicle.
