How the Motability Scheme works
Helping millions of people stay on the road since 1978, the Motability Scheme enables you to exchange your mobility benefits for a three-year lease on a brand-new car. Not only is the scheme reassuringly simple, but it also provides you with the ability to stay mobile, so you can keep your freedom worry-free.
Simply choose the brand-new car you would like from a wide range of makes and models at a price that works for you. Visit your nearest dealership for a test drive and once you are happy with the car you have chosen, we’ll complete your order for you. It’s as easy as that!
We work together with the Motability charity to ensure that our award-winning cars deliver exceptional driving dynamics, practicality and versatility for drivers with disabilities. Our expert staff will guide you through the whole process, making sure that you find the right car for you.

Who is eligible for the Motability Scheme?
You can take part in the scheme if you receive any of the following benefits:
- Higher Rate Mobility Component (HRMC)
- Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
- Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP)
- War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement (WPMS)
- Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment (ERMC of PIP)
However, the scheme is not simply limited to the driver. If a claimant is under 16-years-of-age, their parent, guardian or carer can qualify on their behalf. For further details on eligibility, please visit the Motability Scheme website.
